Do you ever feel like you simply don’t have sufficient time in life to get everything done? You’re feeling yourself getting frustrated as the list keeps getting longer and less things are getting crossed off. You have heard the term time is money. Time is also just time, and there’s never enough of it. Or at least that’s how we feel occasionally. The key for how to be a good personal assistant lies in learning the fundamentals. Let’s review some tips that may help you manage your time and prioritize your schedule more successfully :

First, schedule your day beforehand. If you do not know your schedule beforehand, how on earth will you get it all done? Review the minor and major things you will need to do, both at the beginning of each week and at the start of each day. If you make your schedule a week in advance, you will still have time for last minute details that come up. Schedule everything-from exercising, to taking your youngsters to school, to eating dinner, and even to taking out the rubbish. Schedule everything! This way, nothing will come to you as a surprise. This is a majorly vital step you will learn about how to be a good personal assistant.

Secondly, follow your schedule. What’s the point of making a schedule if you do not stick to it? Make sure the major things can be done in the time frame you’ve allowed for them, and the minor things can be finished between. This is key to learning how to be a good personal assistant, or rather the best way to be your own personal assistant.

Third-make time for unexpected things. This goes with number one ; as you plan your week, leave 1 or 2 minutes each day free so you will likely still have the time for all the astonishing things that come up, like fixing a flat tire or correcting a broken heater in your house. Each day things will appear that you did not plan on or that you have forgotten about, so this is also a crucial step you can implement so you can find out more about how to be a good personal assistant.

fourth step for how to be a good personal assistant-be efficient. Multitasking is hard to do, but it increases your efficiency level by a lot. If you can make a telephone call in the car on the way home from work, then do something else at the office you can only do there-like sending a fax or making copies. Take the rubbish out at the same time you feed the dog, perhaps right before you go running, so you do not have to go outside 5 times after you get home. Brush your teeth while taking a shower, fix breakfast while you are getting ready for the day instead of when you’re completely prepared to stroll out the door, or write an e-mail on your lunch break-do anything that you can to complete 2 or maybe three things at once so that you will spend rather less time doing more things.

Life is busy enough, so let’s streamline it. These tips on how to be a good personal assistant take hard work and prioritization, but it is always worth it in the final analysis when you can plan your week, follow that schedule, make time for unexpected things to come up, and learn how to be efficient. There are many other things you can do to learn how to be a good personal assistant, but let’s stick with this list for the moment. In fact , you already have ten other lists to stress about.

When it comes to embroidery, most people either steer away from it completely or make fun of those who actually enjoy embroidering. However, most people don’t realize that embroidery involves more than hand-stitching a cute little wall-hanging-embroidery goes into clothes, tents, shoes, carpet, and numerous other things. It has a functional and well as a decorate purpose. The functional purpose actually is used more often. However, things have got to be sewn together somehow-you might as well make it attractive while you’re at it. Machine embroidery patterns can be made for basically all of your needs whether you need a new baseball hat or a new quilt-you name it, you’ve got it.

If you have your own machine embroidery machine, take advantage of it. Use it to add finishing touches to your wash towels, your clothes, and your bedding. If you aren’t a fan of swirls and curls, use embroidery to make your books and clothing stronger and longer-lasting. Machine embroidery patterns can be made for almost anything. It is a great way to save money when you have none to spare, especially during this time of economic upheaval. Use your imagination and you will be happy with the results.

However, most of us do not have embroidery machines available for our use. Fortunately though, everyone has the option of using and choosing machine embroidery patterns. These patterns are a great way to add finishing touches to anything that lacks creativity or seems too bland to be of much use. Choose machine embroidery patterns that fit your personality though, otherwise you may be unhappy with the finished product. Embroidery can be invisible if you want it to be, but it can also be the highlight of the piece you intend to finish. Most men, obviously, don’t want shirts or pants that are lined with flower petals and leaves, but many women would love to have clothes like that. The most beautiful part of most wedding dresses is the embroidery, whether it is hand-stitched or stitched by machine.

If you are in the process of choosing a machine embroidery pattern, make sure you have something to use it on first. The pattern for a hat will be very different from the pattern for a dress or for a pair of pants. If you want to use embroidery strictly for a decorative purpose, there are many options available. I once saw a wall hanging in the house of a vegetarian that was lined with corn, green beans, broccoli, carrots, and potatoes. It actually had a very appealing impact on the kitchen; it certainly made me want to eat a veggie stir-fry. The great thing about embroidery is that it allows you to express your personality. If you are a lover of sports, show it to those around you. If you are a musician, allow that love to be visualized in everything you have. Make life more interesting by implementing your personality into anything you can. It doesn’t have to jump out at every person who walks by; it can be subtle and gentle. Go with whatever works.

As previously mentioned, embroidery does not only have a decorative purpose. embroidery patterns are an excellent way of making the things you are attached to more durable and long-lasting. You may still not be convinced that embroidery is beneficial to you or anyone else who doesn’t enjoy crafts, but the fact is, it is everywhere you see. Using it to express your personality is not only fun, but economical and cheap. Go with whatever works for you.

History of Webkruz

| September 9th, 2009

A new search engine is coming out on the market called Webkruz. A lot of new people are checking them out. It is a concept that is being developed with a group of excited entrepreneurs who have had frustrations in their own web searching experiences. They spent some time brainstorming with programmers and investors and business people, and they came up with the ideas of a visual search engine. Of course on all engines you have to look at the screen of words, which you could technically consider as visual, but with Webkruz the results are pictures or screenshots of all of the matching results of the search terms.

They started this project as a sort of hobby, getting together around the hours of their full time jobs. When their ideas came more and more together it seemed like they really did have the makings of a major search engine. A lot of competition on the internet for search engines makes it difficult, but when you have a great product and marketing plan, there is reason to believe that this is for real.

The first search engines included Aliweb, JumpStation, and Lycos. For the most part these are unheard of anymore. When they were started in 1993 and 1994, a lot has changed in the internet world, including simple growth and complexity, to differences in consumer opinion and expectations. The current giant, Google, didn’t start until 1998. Other popular sites today include Yahoo! Search in 2004, MSN Search and Ask.com from 2005, and a growing Bing sponsored by MSN from earlier this year.

Before the days of search engines like these ones and Webkruz, there was a single list of all of the known webservers. This list was followed by an Internet searching tool coming from the word archive: Archie. The sites were not indexed like today’s searches, but instead the program held the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) file names and could browse that database. This started in a university in Montreal.

Several other similar programs were used as the list of servers and sites grew out of management. The predecessor of the system like we use today is considered WebCrawler, from 1994. It not only searched the file titles, but could search through the full text of any webpage, setting the new standard for online search engines. The late 1990’s internet boom included many search engine companies taking advantage of the new full text capabilities. They began to partner and contract with Internet Service Providers, web browsers and other similar programming.

Search engines use a program or algorithm, the details in their entirety are kept secret, in order to determine page rank of the results. If you want to be one of the first one or two sites to show up on Webkruz, your site must meet certain criteria in matching the user’s keywords as well as being a clean, well kept and reliable site.

Webkruz uses pictures or screenshots of the sites to help the consumers find exactly what they are looking for without having to open and close a bunch of the results. The screenshot can be enlarged when you scroll your mouse pointer over it so that you can see in more detail without actually launching to that page. They also help you out by sorting the results into subcategories within the searching terms. You can then scroll through those if you realize a more specific branch of what you were looking for without having to sort out the irrelevant results. It is an innovation in searching and we are soon going to see Webkruz used all over personal, business, and work computers nationwide.

Complicated Internet terms

| September 8th, 2009

When you are out searching and browsing the internet, it seems like it is all a bunch of mumbo jumbo sites and words floating around there. I remember when my grandma first started using email and the internet and she thought it was all amazing but it took awhile to walk her through things step by step. A few months ago I saw she was signed into her email account when I was and pulled up the chat feature to ask her a few questions. She wanted to know how that box got there and what we were doing, if it was like an email. I said it wasn’t saved and sent like an email, but its easier when it’s a quick conversation. She said Oh, so this is what they call chatting? It was hilarious. Don’t worry, now she is on Facebook and writing on walls and everything.

Well at some point or other, no matter how old we are when we are confused by a new system, it is nice to have a guideline to help along the way. When we are trying to find something, we go to Webkruz or another search engine. We type in some words, and wait for a magical response for the right information.

Here are a few guidelines about the net that is out there when you try and make sense of all of the Webkruz results and other things that you may come across.

First, you need to know how search engines make their money. Webkruz, Live search, all of them are based on advertising for revenue. Other companies pushing their sites support what comes across as a free service for regular users. The companies arrange with Webkruz representatives to have their ads posted near the search results. All the search engines run this way. the ads are and usually are posted along the right bar of the page, or at the top of the results section but they are set off by a colored background, or they are identified as sponsor results or something similar. Its good for the advertising companies that put their ads up there, because they link them to particular key words. This is to narrow down the ads to match the search. If the company had a chance at bringing in some new consumers, their ad would be shown to people who are searching for their keywords. It helps to know this just to able to recognize the placement of some of the things on the page. The ads won’t necessarily be the best results for your search like the real results are, but they will be placed in a prominent position on the page.

There are some more tips that will help you to enter the right terms into the search bar to help you get the results that you really want. If you go to Webkruz’s homepage, you will see the blank search bar. This is where you type in your terms you are looking for and then hit enter. Well, there are some ways to help you get around tricky terms, or to find phrases, or to help you find things when you aren’t sure about the spelling! By default, search engines ignore common small words like a, and, or the, unless they are put in quotes like “the”. Using quotes will also help you find the exact phrase that is within them. If you put NOT, capitalized like that, between two terms, then you will search for sites that have the first term, but not the second. For example, dogs NOT types, then you can find sites that relate to things that are dogs but not include the words types.

With these couple tips I hope you happier searching on Webkruz!

The World of Websites

| September 8th, 2009

Search engines are a backbone of the internet organization. Actually maybe that’s the oxy-moron part is that there is not really an organization to all of the sites out there. you get an address, and that’s yours with now mashed out there with a bunch of other sites. If you are typing in an address and are off by even one or two letters, or the .com instead of the .org or .edu or .gov, then you could be directed to content completely opposite of what you were trying to locate. The interent is an intangible space with little boundaries or form.

That’s where search engines are important to us. you can type in what you are looking for, one or a few key words, and then the search engine will come back with a large list of sites that they think relate to your interest. They are ranked with supposedly most relevant at the top, on down. Not many people make it past the first page of results, which would be 10-12 or so. Any results coming up on the 10-20th pages have no chance to be looked at. The search engines are very important in helping us find a site, company or information. They scan all registered pages online and try to match your key words. If you are more specific in your search terms it should result in a better match list.

There are a lot of ways to search the web. There are big search engines that scan all of the web. These include sites like Webkruz, Google, Bing, and Yahoo Search. They all run things fairly similarly. Google and Yahoo Search are staples of the searches. They have been around for awhile and most of the users are familiar with them. Bing was launched in the last year and is run by Microsoft, as a new innovation of the traditional search. Webkruz is also just on the market. The first three list things in a top to bottom series of brief descriptions about the site and the URL. The URL is the web address that you can type in the address bar. However, the fourth, Webkruz, runs things a little differently. This search brings up screen shots of the potential matches so you get a little glimpse of what one might be right. They are also categorized in a few groupings of similar destinations within the keywords that scroll horizontally across the screen. So if you are looking for dogs, then the potential subgroups may be types of dogs, training dogs, or dog health. Then, within each subgroup would be screenshots of sites. These are just examples; if you went to Webkruz.com then you would see what I’m talking about. Anyway, all of these major search engines are used by going to their main page. Go to www.webkruz.com, or similar for Yahoo search or Bing. When you get to these pages, there will be a blank search field where you can enter the description of what you are looking for, and the results will all come up as the program scans all of the websites available.

Another type of search is a site-specific search. Often within a large website there will be a search bar that will search that entire site itself for the possible matching pages. For example, if you are on a site that sells products, you can search their site for a specific product that you want to find from them. The search bar for this kind is usually found on the home page of a site at the top right corner.

For some occasions, you might need to use search giants like search Webkruz, and then once you find the right place you want to go, you can use a site-specific search from there.
